But, Today is Pepero Day in South Korea. 빼빼로 데이 (Pepero Day) is a South Korean celebration held on November 11, where people exchange Pepero : thin, chocolate-covered cookie sticks to show affection and friendship. The date 11/11 was chosen because the numbers look like four Pepero sticks lined up together. People usually give Pepero to their friends, loved ones, classmates, or coworkers with sweet or playful messages a bit like Valentine’s Day, but lighter and more fun. ❣️🍫 So, how about we talk about something a little sweeter? ❣️🍫 In Korea, Pepero Day is when a tall person gives Pepero to a shorter friend and says, (This is something you say jokingly to a close friend.)
